Raster Based Graphics

Raster based graphics are created using pixels therefor do not scale as well as vector based graphics. Ideal applications for raster based graphics include photo manipulation, posters with high resolution photographs/images, web graphics and illustrations.

Raster based files are created in Adobe Photoshop and can be saved in a variety of formats.
